CHERRIES have today recalled goalkeeper Jordan Holmes from his loan spell at non-league Weymouth.

Shot-stopper Holmes made just two appearances for the Terras after being brought to the Bob Lucas Stadium by player-manager Jason Matthews.

He played in the league defeat at Dunstable and the loss to Hemel Hempstead in the FA Trophy but returns in the wake of Adam Federici's injury in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Everton.

Boss Eddie Howe admitted there was little prospect of Cherries being granted emergency loan cover, despite concerns over his two first-choice goalkeepers.

Australia international Federici fell awkwardly on his ankle in the 17th minute against Everton and was withdrawn at half-time. He was pictured in the dugout wearing a protective plastic boot with crutches by his side during the second half.

Poland international Artur Boruc is set to see a specialist about his knee complaint with Howe conceding on Saturday that “it does not look good” for either stopper in the short term.
