CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe “couldn’t believe” the frantic finale which saw his side claim a 3-3 draw with Everton in the eighth minute of added time.

The hosts had clawed their way back to 2-2 during the final 10 minutes, only for England international Ross Barkley to pounce with what seemed sure to be a 95th-minute winner for the Toffees.

That setback left Howe scratching his head but there was still time for Junior Stanislas to net his second of the afternoon from a Charlie Daniels centre.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Howe. “With how our season has unfolded to this point, it felt like one of those here-we-go-again moments.

“I felt we started well until the injury but the delay in the game seemed to affect us and maybe sparked Everton into life.

“From that moment until half-time, we found it difficult but in the second half we had them penned in and were doing everything but scoring.

“We really needed Adam Smith’s goal to give us the belief we could get something from the game.”

Howe confirmed Adam Federici had been withdrawn with an ankle injury and Harry Arter had "felt his hamstring" prior to his 75th-minute substitution.
