BOSS Eddie Howe reckons the true result of his squad’s Premier League examination will not be known until the end of the season.

Cherries have gained many plaudits for the way they have attacked the club’s first top-flight campaign but Howe is insistent they have proved nothing yet.

Quizzed on how his lower-league gems had settled to life on the big stage, Howe said: “We certainly believed in the group we had.

“There was no question of us ripping apart the squad and starting again, it wouldn’t fit with how we work or with our players being in tune with each other. Too many changes can be detrimental.

“It is early days to be making big assessments. Whether we have acclimatised or the players are established as Premier League players is still to be proved and I think that will be an ongoing battle we’re going to have for the remainder of the season.

“Nothing is final until we achieve our objective.”

Meanwhile, Cherries striker Joe Quigley has joined National League outfit Wrexham on a month’s loan.

Quigley, 18, scored once during 10 appearances for Torquay earlier this season.

He impressed for the Gulls during a 3-1 defeat by Wrexham at the Racecourse in August.
