BOSS Eddie Howe insists he is “not losing any sleep” over the looming closure of the transfer window but admits Cherries are still chasing “one or two” signatures.

Cherries are understood to have had three bids rejected in their quest to bring back striker Lewis Grabban from Norwich City, the latest thought to be £5.5million.

Howe has also been strongly linked to swoops for Crystal Palace hitman Glenn Murray and Napoli midfielder Jonathan de Guzman but time is tight with the deadline for incomings passing on Tuesday.

Quizzed on the latest market movement, Howe, whose policy it is to never discuss individual transfer targets, said: “We will see. It is difficult, we have been chasing transfers for a while now and things take time.

“There is no guarantee we will add to the squad at all. We are trying but the numbers have to be right and the players have to be available.

“There is not just one thing we’re waiting on to complete a transfer. Sometimes there are a whole host of other transfers that need to be completed.

“But as much as I would like to add to the squad, I am not losing any sleep over it.

“I think we have a good squad and a nice balance as we saw with the two teams we put out this week but it would be nice to add one or two.”

On any possible outgoings, Howe added: “We’re not looking to lose anybody, not at the moment.”
