CHERRIES have made a £3.5million bid for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray, according to the South London Press.

A report published on the newspaper's website claimed that Cherries had tabled an offer for the 31-year-old frontman.

It is thought that the Eagles are close to a deal for a striker which could push Murray down the pecking order.

Chelsea's Loic Remy and QPR's former Poole Town forward Charlie Austin are both reported targets of the Selhurst Park club.

The South London Press claims Cherries had been interested in a loan move for Murray before he was given a run in the Palace side in the latter part of last season.
