FORMER Southampton favourite Rickie Lambert is the latest player to be linked with a summer move to Cherries.

The Mirror yesterday claimed the 33-year-old striker was being lined up for a “sensational return” to the south coast.

Lambert left Southampton for hometown club Liverpool in a £4m deal last summer but has started only seven league games this season.

He plundered 106 goals in 207 league games for Southampton, helping them from League One to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Cherries’ leading goalscorer Callum Wilson is reportedly a target for Arsenal.

An article on the ESPN website on Saturday suggested Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley had watched Wilson in action on at least five occasions this season.

Wilson, who netted 23 times for Cherries in his first season at Dean Court, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Tottenham.

The rumour mill has also linked Fulham with a £7million bid for Birmingham winger Demarai Gray, who is also a reported target for Cherries.
