JUBILANT Ryan Fraser admitted that Championship title glory had eclipsed effectively earning promotion five days earlier.

The lightning winger had been a late substitute in the 3-0 win over Bolton a week ago which all but secured Cherries’ passage to the Premier League.

However, that was only confirmed on Saturday when victory at Charlton and Watford’s draw with Sheffield Wednesday handed Eddie Howe’s men the title and automatic promotion.

Fraser told the Daily Echo: “It’s the best feeling in the world. I didn’t think you could beat last week against Bolton but now we’re champions.

“I came in when the club was in League One and I never thought we would get to the Premier League, although I always thought we’d get to the Championship.

“Last season we finished 10th and after that we thought we would have a chance. But to think it and do it is two different things.

“Hearing the fans roar when the Watford game went to 1-1 was unbelievable. There was champagne flying everywhere afterwards!

“I will always remember the experience and, hopefully, there will be more moments like it to come.”

Questioned about the secrets to Cherries’ success this campaign, Fraser added: “The gaffer has been a massive part – the biggest part.

“For me, it’s also the team spirit. All the lads love each other, the dressing room is amazing and everyone is in it together.

“When you bring that onto the pitch, you just spur each other on.”
