STOPPER Artur Boruc has revealed he is keen to remain at Cherries following the conclusion of his loan spell at Dean Court.

The Polish international’s contract at parent club Southampton is due to expire at the end of the season.

And Boruc, who is in contention to make his final Cherries loan appearance at Charlton tomorrow (12.15pm), is open-minded over his future.

He told the Cherries website: “It’s more about the club. It’s about if they want me and how badly they want me.

“We will see what will happen in the next few weeks, and, hopefully, I will stay here.”

Meanwhile, the veteran keeper has hailed the professionalism of his team-mates during what is widely expected to be a promotion-winning season.

Boruc, who initially joined on loan in September before extending the deal, added: “I didn’t think that (promotion would be possible) when I signed the contract.

“But as soon as I came here I saw a bunch of lads who were really working hard and had their minds on football.

“They knew what they wanted to achieve and the manager has put in some great work.

“After a couple of games I realised we could do something and we had the belief to achieve it.

“In my life I’ve never seen a group who have worked so hard and been so professional."

“It’s probably the first season I’ve seen what it is to be a professional footballer from the way they are on the training ground to everything else.”
