STEVE Cook looks set to walk a disciplinary tightrope at Fulham tomorrow as he bids to avoid his unbroken record of league games this season.

The former Brighton man has been ever-present in the Championship with skipper Tommy Elphick the only other Cherries player to play every minute of every league game.

However, Cook is one caution away from a two-match suspension, unless he can avoid a 10th booking of the campaign until after April 12.

Cook has already served one ban this season when he sat out the League Cup last-16 clash with West Brom after reaching five yellow cards.

The defender told the Daily Echo: “It would be a shame to lose an ever-present league record through suspension so I’m hoping that won’t happen.

“But getting a booking won’t come into my mind when I get out on the pitch because if you start thinking about that then your game changes.

“I missed the cup game against West Brom which was unfortu nate but I’m hoping not to miss any league games this season.

“Hopefully, I’ll be on the right side of decisions. It’s hard to believe I’ve reached nine bookings already as I only got five in the whole of last season.

“I’m not the sort of player to get rash bookings but it comes down to the referees and they way they see it.”
