SOUTHAMPTON youngster Matt Targett could tonight line up alongside Baily Cargill in the England under-20s defence against Canada (7.30pm).

Like Cargill, 19-year-old Targett has featured in all of his team’s League Cup games this season.

The left-back was captain for the night when England secured Four Nations Tournament glory with a 1-1 draw against Turkey in October.

Another who could feature at Dean Court is Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed, who was also part of the Four Nations squad that triumphed in the Netherlands.

Reed, who made his Premier League debut in a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester City in December last year, played alongside Cargill in the Saints youth set-up.

Canada face England as part of a three-match European tour on which they will also travel to Marbella, Spain to meet Russia and the United States.

Rob Gale’s charges will use the fixtures to prepare for January’s CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.

While most of Canada’s 18-man squad are home-based, three ply their trade in Great Britain.

Rangers defender Luca Gasparotto is on loan at Airdrieonians, while Dundee midfielder Dylan Carreiro is at Arbroath until January.

Michael Petrasso, also a midfielder, is on the books at QPR but is on loan at Notts County. Entry is £3 for adults and £1 for under-16s.
