FRONTMAN Yann Kermorgant believes tonight’s clash with Derby will be “special” due to the passing style of both teams.

The Frenchman, who on Saturday scored his first goal since the opening day of the season, reckons the Pride Park encounter will be an entertaining affair (7.45pm).

He told the Daily Echo: “Derby will be a special game. They are a team who play great football on the floor.

“In these sorts of games there is generally more open space and you receive the ball into feet and have time to turn and organise.

“Both teams tend to have lots of chances and it can be quite an open game. As a striker it’s always good because you get chances to score.

“Tuesday will be a massive game and we will go there to get the three points. We will have to be very compact and when we get a chance we have to take it.”

Kermorgant has started two of Cherries’ four away fixtures in the Championship this season.

He was picked to start in the opening two away matches against Huddersfield and Blackburn.

However, in the last two away clashes at Norwich and Watford, boss Eddie Howe has chosen to go with just Callum Wilson up front and a five-man midfield.

On tonight’s meeting with the Rams, Howe said: “Derby will be as difficult a game as we’ll have this season, there is no doubt about that.

“But we can go there full of self-belief and have a right good go.”
