EDDIE Howe has urged the Dean Court faithful to create a partisan atmosphere when Cherries clash with Wigan on Saturday (3pm).

Cherries have not secured a home victory in the Championship since August 16 and boss Howe is hoping supporters will cheer his team back to winning ways.

He told the Daily Echo: “I think all that’s missing at home for us is a little bit of luck, being a bit more clinical in front of goal and turning our dominance into points.

“It’s a good time to kick-start our home form. I’ve always said it’s important and it’s the thing you need to be functioning straight away.

“All I would ask from the crowd this week is that they really get behind the players, create a really good atmosphere and try and make it as difficult as they can (for Wigan).

“It’s always our duty to entertain the crowd and I don’t think you can underestimate their importance.

“This club has always been as one and we are a lot more powerful as one. If the crowd are at their very best on Saturday then it will certainly help us.”
