A GALAXY of footballing figures including Cherries boss Eddie Howe will turn out at Tatnam tomorrow to raise money for former non-league footballer Andy Culliford (4pm).

Howe and assistant Jason Tindall will be among a range of big names that grace the field when a Poole Town XI face a Select XI.

Culliford featured for Poole Town, Wimborne Town, Bashley and Bournemouth Poppies during his semi-pro career but was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2011.

There is no known cure for MND, a terminal illness which affects the movement of the body.

In addition to supporting his young family, Culliford has to pay for lifesaving drugs at a cost of £400 a day.

Howe and Tindall will be joined on the field tomorrow by plenty of others with Cherries connections, including club legend Steve Fletcher, Warren Cummings and Marcus Browning.

Former England striker and current Accrington Stanley boss James Beattie will also feature, as will his ex-Southampton team-mate Jo Tessem.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has been recruited to manage one of the sides and QPR’s former Poole Town striker Charlie Austin will also be in attendance.

Admission costs are £7 for adults, £5 for OAPs and £2 for under-16s. Under-12s get in free.

Anyone who would like to make a donation in support of Culliford can do so by paying into the Andy Culliford Benefit Fund. The account number for the NatWest account is 46136738 and the sort code is 52-41-37.
