BOSS Eddie Howe says he has received “very positive” reports regarding the majority of Cherries players loaned to other clubs.

No fewer than six members of his squad – Ryan Allsop, Josh McQuoid, Mohamed Coulibaly, Matt Tubbs, Jayden Stockley and Miles Addison – started the season plying their trade elsewhere.

Frontmen Tubbs, Stockley and McQuoid have all scored for their respective clubs, while goalkeeper Ryan Allsop has starred for Coventry in League One.

Coulibaly this week hit the comeback trail for the Sky Blues after recovering from injury, although Addison, who is at Scunthorpe, faces a spell on the sidelines due to a knee problem.

Tubbs earned a nominated for the League Two player of the month for August after netting five times in AFC Wimbledon’s first six games McQuoid has hit three in four for Coventry, while Stockley bagged a double on his debut for Cambridge United in their 5-0 rout of League Two strugglers Carlisle.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “The majority of the feedback has been very positive. Mohamed picked up an injury so it is difficult to have too much on him but he played in the JPT in midweek so it was good to see him return to fitness.

“Josh is scoring goals for Coventry so that will hopefully do him the world of good, while Matt Tubbs is doing what he has done for most of his career and that is good to see as well. Jayden made a really good start on his debut so we were pleased for him.

“It is great to see Ryan Allsop playing because I think it is the best thing for him and his development to be playing games regularly.

“It will be great for the three lads at Coventry to see them return to the Ricoh. They will get the experience of playing in front of big crowds and in big games for them so I am really pleased to see them hopefully getting as much football as they can.

“Miles had been performing well for Scunthorpe before he sustained his injury and we will treat him until he is ready to go back.”
