RELIEVED wingman Junior Stanislas admitted his moment of magic had provided the perfect tonic after a troublesome first half at Norwich.

The summer recruit from Burnley acknowledged he had struggled to reproduce the dazzling displays which saw him start his third consecutive league match for Cherries at Carrow Road.

But Stanislas kept his cool and threaded a killer ball down the right for Simon Francis to tee up Callum Wilson’s leveller just before the break, alleviating some of the playmaker’s personal frustration.

Stanislas told the Daily Echo: “When I got on the ball in the first half I sometimes gave it away too cheaply, there were one or two sloppy passes in there but one ball paid off and I was pleased.

“It felt good after a tough half to make something happen. Franno (Francis) probably made up my mind for me with his movement.

“I had just got my head up when I saw him darting in behind and he put in a great ball for Callum (Wilson). It was the perfect time for us to score and it meant we came out for the second half on a high. It was difficult at times.

"Norwich have a very good team, players who have just come down from the Premier League who given the chance could do some real damage.

“I thought our reaction to going a goal down was great. The boys had to dig deep and we managed to get ourselves back in the game against a really good side.”
