FA Cup vote: Can Cherries cause a shock tonight?

CHERRIES go into tonight's FA Cup third round replay at home to Premier League Wigan with many experts tipping Eddie Howe's men to prevail.

Harry Redknapp believes they have chance, having already gone 18 games unbeaten since Howe returned to the dugout in October.

And Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio, who watched Cherries secure a 1-1 draw against his side in terrible conditions on Saturday, also believes the Dorset side can spring a surprise on Roberto Martinez's outfit.

But what do you think? Can Cherries cause an upset, or will the Premier League outfit show their class and end Cherries' record-equalling run?

According to the Wigan sites, they are fielding pretty much the same team that played on the 5th of Jan.

With the home support, there's no reason why we can't snatch this one !

The cherries will win 2.0. Can't wait to get there. My 4 year old grandson is so excited. He went to the Swindon match Saturday with his dad. He loves the cherries. But he is not so keep on cherry bear. Bless him. Good luck to the boys tonight.

I just hope the Echo aren't tempting fate with this poll. Having said that, I'm sure Eddie will have the boys fired up for this one. If we can get past Wigan we would have every chance of progressing to the fifth round. Come on you might reds - UTC!

Don't know if any one heard Eddie M on solent this morning? He was very controlled in his comments live on the breakfast show saying win or lose he wants a good game, not being drawn to make stupid comments. Very relaxed.Could it be he's learnt from past mistakes? Not there tonight, but those who are ; make some noise for the boys!

Can we win tonight? Yes, but it's going to depend on how important the FA Cup is to Wigan and what team they put out!
Their Premier League side would likely beat us, but I suspect they will field a weakened side again and hope for the best. We cannot afford to field anything other than our strongest team if we're to have a chance of progressing into the next game against Macclesfield. A win there and we would almost certainly get a money spinning tie in the fifth round!

Join the club extremely frustrated that due to work commitments I was unable to get a seat for tonight phones where constantly engaged not complaining as at the end of the day three sell out home matches in a row so can only be good for the coffers

Oh well, all good things come to an end. Sort of glad really, the league is far more important.
