Broadstone leave Southbourne with six

A DIVISION founder members Southbourne proved to be the perfect hosts when allowing newly-promoted Broadstone to return home with six points .

Skips Lyn Howard and Anne Williams recorded identical scores (20-12) for Broadstone.

Redhill Park also earned a six-pointer at Richmond Park, while Iford had to be satisfied with only five when entertaining Wimborne (44-38).

There were four-pointers for Lymington (47-41) and Ferndown (42-41) against Braeside and West Moors respectively.

  • BRAESIDE'S B Division ladies never let visitors Argyll settle on the magic carpet', bagging six points (60-22).

    Ringwood picked up maximum points after Bournemouth conceded the match and Poole Park squared with Pelhams 39-39.

    West Moors returned from Swanmore with only one point, going down 23-40, while Richmond Park fared better, earning four points with a narrow win at New Milton (44-42).

  • BROADSTONE go top of C Division after skips Sheila Thomson (23-14) and Maureen Day (18-14) proved too strong for visitors Southbourne, while Lymington departed Christchurch with maximum points after a 49-39 triumph.

    Verwood took victory at Milford and Fordingbridge made the trip to Argyll and mustered only two points after crashing to a 38-32 loss.

    Highcliffe, however, scraped a 36-35 win at Brockenhurst.

  • THE first hot-shot of the season came in D Division from Pelhams' one' rink of Georgina Bennett, Jenny Lewis, Val Charig and Marian Hammond in the 47-41 win over Pelhams two'.

    Kings Park battled in vain against New Milton, going down 34-36.

    Bournemouth overcame Moordown 44-32, while Alexandra Park took the match against Swanmore 49-39.

  • IN E Division, Highcliffe go top with a maximum 49-28 against West Moors.

    Braeside outgunned Lymington 46-25, while Iford Bridge came away from Wimborne with five points (37-35).

    Shelley Park (35-33) and Branksome Park (40-31) both picked up four points on their travels at Southbourne and Richmond Park respectively.

  • EVERY match in F Division registered a 4-2 result, the most impressive win being at New Milton (27-47) with the Christchurch rink of skip Doreen Hewitt in winning form (33-12).

  • SWANMORE head G Division after racking up a 59-23 win against Ringwood, while Richmond Park edged out Branksome Park 34-33).

    Highcliffe harvested four points with their victory over Poole Park (39-29).
