WITH Berrans Park Avenue on a wretched run of eight successive defeats, they should have been ideal opposition for Bournemouth Sports in preparation for Thursday night’s Mark Hart Senior Cup final against Foresters Arms at Hurn Bridge (7.30pm).
But Berrans hadn’t read the script and Simon Young gave them the lead after 30 minutes.
Danny Snell put the Hayward Premier Division title contenders on terms five minutes into the second half but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw as Berrans ended their losing sequence.

Poole Link move clear of the drop zone after Ricky Wilson, Gareth Buck and Greg West gave them a 3-1 success against Branksome Celtic.
Littledown took a three-goal lead through Mike Burke, Ben Clark and an own goal but AFC Burton came back with goals from Josh Adams, Ananda Nair and Marcus Wincott.
