THE vast majority of the BFA Saturday programme was decimated due to waterlogged pitches, but Hamworthy Recreation managed to extend their lead to six points at the top of the Premier Division with a 3-1 victory over Dorset Knob.
Mike Notley, Richie Sands and John Webb were the Hammers marksmen, with Martin Soult getting Dorset Knob’s consolation goal.
• New Milton Linnets’ hopes of taking over on top of Division Two were dashed when they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sway reserves.
Sway were twice in front with goals from Bryan Beeston and Alex Martin, but Linnets came back each time thanks to Nick Broom and Mike Blow.
• Matt Singleton and Joe Meyer netted for Parley Sports A, but they suffered their second defeat of the season in Division Four when second-placed New Milton Eagles emerged 4-2 winners with goals from Gary Bokota, Jon Spooner, Ollie Luchoomun and Robbie Haynes.
• Branksome Celtic moved up to third place in Division Five following a 4-0 victory over Bransgore United. Jordan Harris’s hat-trick and a goal from Trevor Fisher sealed the points.
Bournemouth A were 3-0 winners against Rockbourne thanks to Edger Zanin (2) and Paul Conroy, while Screw-It Carpentry just got the better of Twynham Rangers reserves 3-2 thanks to Robert Cole (2) and Tim Somerfield.
• Townsend Spartans went back on top of Division Six after Sam Phillips (2) and Patrick Lawler gave them the edge 3-2 at Rinwood Athletic. Gavin Young and John Langley replied for the home side.
Brett Stimson struck twice in Portcastrian reserves’ 4-1 tanning of struggling Bransgore United reserves, with Steve Pockneall and Dan Lodge adding one each. Fabio Arnone-Sciemca scored Bransgore’s consolation goal.
