PENNINGTON St Marks shrugged off the disappointment of three successive defeats, two in the league and the third in the M A Hart Pickford Cup Final, when they took the initiative against Hayward Saturday Premier Division leaders Bournemouth Electric.
Two first half goals from Roy Viner put Pennington firmly in the driving seat but Electric dug deep and came back strongly in the second half with goals from Kieron Mulvey and Leigh Phillips to force a 2-2 draw.

BISTERNE United clinched the title when Aaron Barker and Steve Moore (pen) gave them the edge 2-1 against AFC Burton on Wednesday night and United were then beaten 2-0 by nearest rivals Suttoners Civil A.
Meanwhile, tailenders Shamrock completed their campaign on the receiving end as usual when Redlynch and Woodfalls United Reserves gave them an 8-0 larruping courtesy of Tom Sainsbury’s hat-trick and further goals from Luke Charity (2), Neil Shelley, John Emm and Chris Jackson.
