REIGNING Hayward Sunday Premier Division champions Wallisdown Liberal took a tumble at the penultimate hurdle when Bournemouth Electric upended them 4-1 with goals from Joe Kittle, Scott Sanderson, Craig Leverton and Tony Morgan. Marc Scrimshaw netted Wallisdown’s consolation goal.
East Christchurch SSC are just two points behind the leaders with three games in hand after Rob Fox’s fifth-minute strike settled the issue 1-0 against Mercury.
Branksome Railway were trailing to a first half strike from Liam McGlynn against arch rivals Branksome Conservative until McGlynn saw red for two cautions in the second half. Railway’s subsequent pressure eventually paid off with Dan Manuel equalising with a header and ex-Branksome Con striker Martin Warren grabbing a late winner to give them a vital 2-1 success.
West Moors SSC could also have a big say in the destiny of the title and they walloped Foresters Arms 5-0 thanks to Mike Haskell’s hat-trick and further goals from Louis Lenthall and Tony Krunic.

IT IS now a two-horse race for the title with Darby’s Corner holding top spot after Lee Diaper, Karl Chalkley, Jamie Adams and Neil Bullen ensured a 4-1 victory over Redhill.
Spire Broadway, a point behind with a game in hand, trounced Bournemouth Electric Reserves 9-1 thanks to Luke McCoy’s five-goal blitz and further goals from Shaun Walbridge (2), Paul Conroy and Craig Davey.
Kinson Conservative finished their campaign in third place after getting the better of Parley Sports 6-3 through Keith Whatling, Johnny Cook, Mariusz Iglewski and a Kieron Mulvey hat-trick.
