Reports claim Redknapp turned down Cherries job last week

HARRY Redknapp last week turned down the chance to return to management with Cherries, reports in two national newspapers claim this morning.

The Daily Mirror and Daily Record both claim Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell asked Redknapp to take over from under-fire boss Paul Groves following last weekend's 4-0 defeat at Swindon.

But the papers say Redknapp rejected the offer, telling Mitchell to give Groves more time.

The 65-year-old, says the Mirror, is understood to be monitoring the situation at Premier League QPR, where boss Mark Hughes has come under increasing pressure following a poor start to the season.

Redknapp has been working as an unpaid advisor at Goldsands Stadium for the past three weeks.

So that means Harry will be the Boss very soon. Mr Mitchell must be listening to the fans for a change. Mr groves may be out by Monday morning if they don't get 3 points this afternoon.

Harry has more sense than to want to work along side Mitchell and little Tom

Over to you Max Demin.

Buy out Mitchell and send him and his family packing and bring in Harry as a minority shareholder/director of football and give him free rein to bring in his coaching team to take us to the Championship.

With Mitchell and his clueless wonders we will be going nowhere other than backwards.

It means Harry is waiting for a club management position to become vacant so he doesn't have to move homes, ie London is the maximum distance he is willing to travel

At least Groves must know his time is nearly up now. Might as well bring in a new manager straight away as Groves has lost any support he had from upstairs now and the fans never wanted him.

By the way Paul, Robbie Fowler is available to be signed. Surely we can find room for him in our squad as we hardly have any strikers - just kidding!!

I assume you are being sarcastic. No way could Mitchell afford HR's salary and if he could he would weep at HR having such a large wage packet when it could be going in his back pocket.
Do you really believe HR would want to work for a 2nd rate club with multiple bankrupt Mitchell?

if groves had anything about him he would walk away on the basis of this story. Only a spineless idiot would let their job be offered to someone else
