BATTING star Darren Cowley is confident Dorset have the personnel to help fill the gap in his trophy cabinet.
The Lymington captain is set to line up when Dorset host Cumberland at Dean Park in Sunday's MCCA Trophy semi-final (11.30am).
A long-serving member of the county side, Cowley has twice triumphed in the MCCA Championship during his 13-year Dorset career.
He has yet to taste success in the one-day competition but believes 2012 could be the year he adds that title to his collection.
Cowley told the Daily Echo: “We have definitely got the team to do it. We are just a good, solid team. Everyone really gels.”
Cowley, who turns 36 in October, has been named in Dorset’s 12-man squad after scoring a half-century in the last round against Cheshire.
Dorset have recalled four one-day regulars as they look to keep a consistency in their selection.
Chris Jones, Mark Wolstenholme, Scott Barlow and Jack Leach have replaced Charlie Esson, James Hayman and Ben Ladd-Gibbon.
The county will select the starting 11 on the morning of the match.
