Pirates: All change for teams affected by absence riders

TWO heavily depleted teams will lock horns when King’s Lynn and Pirates meet for a potentially feisty clash at Norfolk Arena tonight.

Pirates will be bidding to continue their remarkable 2012 unbeaten run when they visit their Elite League rivals (7.30pm).

The showdown was given plenty of added spice after the Stars management aimed a stinging attack at their Poole counterparts on Wednesday night.

The row centred on Pirates’ inclusion of Artur Mrockza as a guest for Adrian Miedzinski.

Lynn claimed the visitors should not have been handed a facility for the unavailable Miedzinski after both he and Poole had previously admitted that he was no longer available to ride in the UK.

But Poole have been given permission to use Mrockza, instead of the three-point replacements they had to track due to having a non-facility in their past two fixtures, as Miedzinski remains in their declared one-to-seven and is unavailable due to his commitments in the Grand Prix qualifiers.

He is also set to ride for Pirates again next week.

Aside from that saga, both clubs will be sending out barely recognisable line-ups for the meeting.

Davey Watt will deputise for injured Pirates number one Darcy Ward, while rider replacement and Ludvig Lindgren cover for Dennis Andersson and Sam Masters, both of whom are in tomorrow’s GP qualifier semi-finals.

Stars pair Mads Korneliussen and Kevin Wolbert are missing for the same reason, with Ritchie Worrall named as a guest and rider replacement operating for Korneliussen.

In yet another change, Lasse Bjerre will ride in place of Stars’ unavailable doubling-up duo David Howe and Joe Screen.

King’s Lynn: Niels Kristian Iversen, Lasse Bjerre (guest), Maciej Janowski, Rider Replacement for Mads Korneliussen, Daniel Nermark, Mateusz Szczepaniak, Richie Worrall (guest).

Poole: Davey Watt (guest), Rider Replacement for Dennis Andersson, Chris Holder, Ricky Kling, Artur Mrockza (guest), Ludvig Lindgren, Kyle Howarth.
