CONFERENCE South outfit Dartford have confirmed that they have accepted a bid from Cherries for striker Charlie Sheringham, son of ex-England star Teddy.
Boss Lee Bradbury revealed his interest in the frontman after today’s draw at MK Dons but said that no offer had been submitted.
However, shortly after, Dartford revealed the two clubs had reached agreement on a fee reportedly worth in the region of £25,000.
Sheringham, 23, has spent time with numerous Football League clubs during his career and was on trial with Cherries in 2004.
Dartford company chairman Bill Archer told his club’s website: “Charlie Sheringham has been informed of the offer from AFC Bournemouth and is currently taking advice from his advisors with regards to this.
“Charlie is really happy at Dartford FC. He doesn’t need to go away and leave and we will hang on to him if possible, but we will not stand in his way to progression if he chooses to move on.”
Sheringham has been in excellent goalscoring form for the Darts this term and is already in double figures.

Symes and Thomas have pace and should, once Symes is fully fit, be our front two. Once Baudry recovers from his hamstring problem and Shaun McDonald is fit we will have a powerful defence with Zubar able to play at right back and Molesley challenging for mid field. .
Lets hope he can hit double figures in this league. With Charlie and Wes Thomas lets start banging in the goals. Two pacey strikers up front and we could of won the game yesturday, MK Dons centre backs would of got turned inside and out.

Hey Edmund it must be the nice car park, changing rooms & ice bath that's managed to attract these "non league" players to us.
Spending money on these things instead of keeping together our squad from last year and getting in proven league players, all makes sense now.
So when you put a wage cap on players, whilst spending money on needless refurbs around the ground and paying your own company's to do the work, all comes together, a master plan.

Anything that is said against the party line and you result to abusive words.
Also my little "Mitchellite friend" I have my facts perfectly correct re the car park / other needless works that were carried out whilst the club was "trading insolvently".
As for players "wanting" to leave this is not the case at all and if the club was being run properly from a financial view point then we would have kept the majority at the club. Most of them were made uncomfortable at the club and not offered an alternative to stay.
Mitchell put them up in the shop window to sell as many as he could, as he knew what a mess we were in financially, whilst telling supporters we were debt free.
So how can you possibly continue to defend the party line... "PRAT".

Where's the money gone? wrote:Lets get the facts about the car park correct once and for all shall we. In September 2011 the club announced a new 50 year lease on the council owned car park at the Seward Stadium. The previous license had lapsed meaning the club had become tenants at will, but last season's refurbishment secured the new deal. The development of the car park was something which AFCB were contracted to do and if they hadn't undertaken to do the work it would have jeopardised AFCB's usage on a matchday and during the week. So 2 grand a year seems quite a paltry sum really doesn't it!

I know different & real reasons & costs for it, but again, I'll expect to get slagged off.
Did the lease for the changing rooms expire as well and they had to have works carried out so the team could continue to use them? (which also stipulated new ice-baths).
That must have been the reason, otherwise why would you spend monies on that type of refurb whilst trading insolvently?.... lol.

Stop being obsessed with where the signings come from!!! They all have to start somewhere! Do you remember signing Efan Ekoku from non-league Sutton and selling him for £750k? If they're better than the level they're playing at, they come to the attention of higher league clubs!!! That's how the transfer system works! Doh!!!!
Sorry guys, but let's get a grip here, we have signed a "Conference South" player. It's a huge step up for the "lad". Another great "swoop" on the CHEAP. Still I hope it works out fot him and the club, lert's see.

Where's the money gone? wrote:Unfortunately we're dealing with someone who hasn't the intellect to think around issues and take multiple angles rather than just one.The problem is the tunnel vision, churning out the same old stuff, rather than looking at things from a different angle, using a different perspective. I agree, on the face of it, a car park and dressing room refurb when trading insolvently is crazy! But if the car park had to be done to comply with the council, then no choice. If the dressing rooms hadn't been done, could we have had an issue with Health and Safety, were there maintenance issues that needed sorting out that made a refurb more cost-effective? If no, then ask questions, but how do you know for sure. If you don't work at the club how could you know? The ice-bath is a known way to prevent injuries (I don't know how it works, am no expert), but we're not the only club to use it. If the number of injuries after a year of using it means no change, then ask questions absolutely. Every club has to spend on non-field related things, I have no idea why it keeps getting brought up. Or maybe it's because the teams form is slowly starting to pick up and defeats can't be used as a stick to beat the chairman or manager with. I couldn't care less who the chairman is, as long as he's doing things for the clubs future. The on-pitch antics were a disgrace, I hope it never happens with any other chairman. But we've always been a selling club and not entirely sure why people think that has changed. We sell to pay other bills, not to pay out huge transfer fees. If we had more support it would be different. Nothing has changed in my 29 years of supporting AFCB, we sell, then find players from lower leagues or higher leagues reserves and sell them on for a few quid. We pay some bills, then find a few more and do the same again. What is so difficult to understand? It's easy. When we start owing more than we can sell players for, we end up in admin, or liquidation. What's so difficult to understand? It's easy. Get a full house every home game, including south end and it would be different. But we don't so have to cut our cloth accordingly. That's the point about budgeting. Simples!!
Again, shame you guys have to slag people off because you don't have the intellect to handle someone that has a different view........
