PHIL Graves praised Swans’ use of the wide open spaces after their two Charlies – wingers Parish and Rowberry – shared three tries in an impressive 32-5 triumph at Bletchley.

Parish dived over in the fourth minute to set the Purbeckers on their way to a 22-0 lead at half time with scrum-half Mark Woolley and flanker Dafydd Wright also bagging touchdowns.

Early in the second half, Parish dived over brilliantly to finish off another fine move, before Rowberry had the final word, breaking clear late on to add to Bletchley’s woes.

Graves, whose side moved up to third place in South West Two East following victory, said: “It was a great win for us, considering we had a few players out.

“In the first half, we played quite well moving the ball wide and it was 22-0 at the break, a lead we thoroughly deserved.

“We just tried moving the ball out as quickly as possible because Bletchley had a big set of forwards, and Charlie Parish and Charlie Rowberry did their jobs well when we got the ball out to them.”

Graves, whose side’s fear of relegation had been wiped out ahead of this game following an RFU decision not to demote anyone from South West Two at the end of the season, was also on the scoresheet.

He kicked two conversions and one penalty as the Dorset outfit controlled the game for most of the clash, apart for a spell just after half time when they came under heavy pressure.
