JAMES Wood last night quit as manager of Bournemouth Poppies.
Wood, the current Daily Echo/Wessex League manager of the season, called time on his stint at Victoria Park after three successful seasons, citing work commitments as a major factor.
Poppies came close to a shock Premier Division title triumph last term before falling short in the closing stages.
Chairman Robert Corbin is hoping to appoint a new boss within the next few days.
