KEY midfielder Danny Hollands will be a Cherries player again next season after agreeing to remain with the club.

The fans' favourite made his decision yesterday and informed Jeff Mostyn of the good news this morning.

Delighted chairman Mostyn said: "With the exception of Josh Gowling, we have now successfully negotiated with all of our out-of-contract players.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for the commitment they have shown the club by remaining loyal despite the current position we find ourselves in.

"Both Kevin (Bond, manager) and I have done everything in our power to retain the players that finished the season in magnificent style. This we believe will give us the best possible chance of making progress in League Two."

Whatever the methods behind the retaining of some of our key players! Credit has to given to the coaching staff/management team as a whole! It hopefully suggests there is positive movement behind the scenes i.e players wouldn't sign without security. Be interesting to see who the investors are and their financial weight!

Brilliant news . Although we`re being kept in the dark about whats going on , the players must be being told the plans for the future if our best player is happy to stay despite relegation . Well done Danny.

Best news I have had today !!!!!
And the fact that all bar Gowling are staying is testament to the respect which the squad must have for Bond, despite what a proportion of the supporters might still feel.
COME ON YOU CHERRIES !!!

At last some good news that hasnt been rehashed! If the stories are true then Danny could have gone elsewhere for probably more money, but like the majority of players he has stayed loyal and they should be applauded for that. Now what we need to see is some loyalty from some of the whinging old farts who have 'graced' these pages, saying they will never go again, by making sure that DC is full every match. As mccherry said, the players must know whats going on behind the scenes, I just hope we are all happy as well when it all comes out.

We're short of players but we have a great core and a strong youth team.

-15 points or none, I think we can compete for promotion, a top 7 finish and our strongest competitors being old league 1 relegation candidates.

At last some good news coming out of the Court. It's time for the fans to repay the players loyalty now and make sure we show our support by attending matches and helping the lads wipe away that 15 point penalty as soon as we can.

IT IS AMAZING HOW THE SUCCESS (OR FAILURE) OF A SPORTING TEAM CAN INFLUENCE AN ENTIRE TOWN.
IF YOU READ THE MESSAGES ON THIS FORUM YOU CAN SEE UP-BEAT MOOD OF THE PLACE.
WHEN TORINO GOT RELEGATED A FEW YEARS AGO THE WHOLE CITY WENT INTO RECESSION.
AFTER LAST SEASONS DISAPOINTMENT IT HAS NOT TAKEN MUCH TO RE-IGNITE THE PASSION OF THE LOCAL FAITHFUL!
IF THERE IS A HINT OF A "SECOND COMING" HERE, LET ME KNOW, I WILL BE ON THE FIRST AVAILABLE FLIGHT!

So not the mass exodus of players some were expecting, perhaps we are going to have a good future well maybe, and great news Danny that should shut up some of the critics for a few days, now we wait for Tuesdays official news about our future, let's hope that gives us the same uplift that today has, UTCIAD.

This is great news we havnt lost anybody we didnt expect to go Vokes would have gone even if we stayed up to help pay Krassners Wine bill and Gowling was allways going to leave but we have managed to keep hold of the rest was sorry to see Young go but Perrett leaving wont make a blind bit of difference except if we do have a good run it will free up a permenant seat in the stands for a ticket buying supporter . No serously this is good stuff gives us a chance this season well done Bondy Thank you Danny

Mostyn obviously thinks the same about Gowling as most of us do keep making this kind of statement Jeff and you might win back a few friends Its a lot better than being unavailable for comment well done

great news. Lets hope he signs an extention to his deal. I believe he still had a year to run, so would have commanded a fee. But next summer as it stands he would be a free agent. Sign him up on a longer deal!

No he was out of contract on the 30th I think you may be confusing him with Pearce.

Strange how fickle we footy fans are. A month ago or even a week we were all jumping off cliffs and threatening to support Hamworthy instead. Now the season cannot come quickly enough, apart from the points deduction.

Furious yank. Two supporters in Chelmsford?

Agree on high praise for Danny. All those northern towns this winter is a far cry from Chelsea reserves.

Not all of us have been threatening to support other teams etc, I would rather die than support another team, as for the new season I think we are all feeling the same way, can't wait to talk about football and not the off the field soap opera.
Danny has been playing for us, don't quite get the Chelsea reserves point that was in the past, must be something in the air in Chelmsford, what is your local team anyway? Always good to see cherries fans out side of the area :0

Thats a bit unfair Whilst a lot of us have had a good old moan about the mismanagement of this Club doesnt mean we will jump ship and support other Clubs far from it, Some take the view that we must follow the lead of the prospective Chairman and we are discracefull if we dont others take the view that if we think something is wrong we should say so regardless of if it will do any good or not. The point is at the end of the Day most if not all of us will continue to support our Team. There are of course some that will have a go just because you dont agree with them but frankly that there propblem.
Could be worse they could be Southampton Fans

Not quite sure why Tuesday will tell us much, other than who the other members of the consortium are - surely the "crunch" day is Thursday the 10th July when the FA meet and our application and plans are decided upon - can't see anything happening until that hurdle has been cleared.
