DANIEL Davidsson has warned Pirates they cannot afford to slip up against a bottom-of-the-table side at home for the second week in a row.
Poole Castle Cover's reserve impressed with nine points as they beat high-riding Ipswich 51-41 away on Monday.
But, after the Dorset side suffered a shock 46-44 reverse against previous basement boys Peterborough last week, Davidsson is calling on his team-mates to "really focus" against lowly Wolves tonight (7.30pm).
The Swede said: "Wolves are probably going to be as tough as when Ipswich won here, especially as Chris Harris is riding for them as a guest (for injured Niels-Kristian Iversen).
"We really have to be on the case because we don't want to slip up a third time at home.
"I don't think anyone expected us to win at Ipswich after we had lost to Peterborough, but that's just the way the Elite League has been this year - very up and down for most teams.
"We really have to focus and do our jobs tonight, each and every one of us. We had a timely lift at Ipswich, so hopefully we can build on that win."
Davidsson, called up in early May to replace injured Pirate Zbigniew Suchecki, added: "It was payback time against Ipswich. It was very sweet to win there after the Peterborough setback.
"That was a big slip-up because we weren't very good.
"I got six points in that meeting and I did my bit at Ipswich as well.
"If I can get four, five or six at home and three, four or five away, I'm doing what Matt Ford asked me to do.
"Of course I want more. But I can't complain so far considering I haven't been in this country for two years.
"It has started off fairly well for me. I've had a few tough meetings, but you can always have an off day.
"That's part of the game, but I'm happy I came back to England.
"I think I can score a few more points on a regular basis. I'll just keep working hard and hope I can get some more sponsorship, which helps."
Wolves, crushed 62-31 at Poole on April 2, arrive at Wimborne Road buoyed by a 54-38 home triumph over Peterborough on Monday.
The Black Country outfit also defeated Pirates 54-36 at Monmore on March 31.
Poole's Adam Skornicki, who sustained a heavy knock to his left wrist at Ipswich, is expected to line up tonight.
Pirates chief Ford said: "Adam didn't ride in Sweden yesterday, he stayed in Poole.
"He said his tendons were sore but is hoping to ride."
Poole host a JT Commercials Select in an Academy Challenge after tonight's main meeting.
Pirates: 1 Chris Holder, 2 Freddie Eriksson, 3 Bjarne Pedersen, 4 Adam Skornicki or rider replacement, 5 Davey Watt, 6 Magnus Zetterstrom, 7 Daniel Davidsson.
Wolves: 1 Fredrik Lindgren, 2 Ales Dryml, 3 (guest) Chris Harris, 4 Nicolai Klindt, 5 David Howe, 6 Christian Hefenbrock, 7 Kenneth Hansen.
