MATT Ford has confirmed he is one of a four-man group charged with formulating speedway's future in this country, as revealed exclusively in today's Echo.
The others are Lakeside co-promoter Jon Cook, Ipswich co-owner-rider Chris Louis and King's Lynn chief Jonathan Chapman.
Ford said: "The group got together before last year's British Speedway Promoters' Association annual meeting and yes, there are four of us.
"We did get together on several occasions to see where the sport was going in Britain.
"We are taking into account every aspect of the sport, not just our own club's wishes.
"While I feel a degree of progress was made, I think now, crucially, we need to perhaps look to continue making improvements."
