KRZYSZTOF Kasprzak revealed he would be making way for Bjarne Pedersen's return in 13 days time after leading Pirates to a resounding 51-39 win at Swindon last night.

The Pole romped to 16 paid 17 and only lost out on a maximum in the final heat as Poole Castle Cover knocked Robins off the top of the Elite League.

Pirates moved back up into second place in the table 24 hours after being thumped 50-40 at home by Ipswich.

Kasprzak, originally signed for a month at the beginning of May to cover for injured Pedersen, said: "My score tonight was a present to the rest of my team.

"It was also a present to the Poole supporters after our defeat against Ipswich, which was pretty bad for all of us."

The Pole, who had struggled to get five points against Witches, added: "I used a totally different engine from Wednesday.

"That's why it was such a bad meeting then and why I went so well tonight.

"I can't tell you what was wrong with that engine, but it was just great to turn it round.

"I'd like to thank all the people who have helped me on my return to Poole, including my sponsors, who include Fry's Electrical.

"They've helped me greatly because next week I will probably be back in Poland for good.

"Bjarne will be back on Wednesday week. I'm booked to do Eastbourne at home and Lakeside away before he is looking to come back.

"It's a shame for me because I like riding for Poole very much. I'd love to stay but real life is different.

"I've tried my best, but it's not gone well in every meeting.

"On Wednesday I didn't do my job, but tonight I did and I still have two more meetings for Pirates and hope to sign off with some more big scores."

Kasprzak added: "To triumph by 12 points at Swindon is fantastic.

"People thought we had no chance because we'd lost so heavily to Ipswich and were without Chris Holder, but we thought this is another day.

"We put that defeat behind us, team spirit was high and tonight's result has worked out perfectly for us."
