MIDFIELDER Emerson Hyndman is set to finalise a permanent transfer to Atlanta United from Cherries on January 1.

The former Fulham youngster made 21 appearances for the MLS outfit while on loan this season.

He scored three times and registered three assists, having joined Atlanta from Vitality Stadium back in July.

And it has now been confirmed the loan deal will be made permanent for the 23-year old to join Frank de Boer’s side.

“We’re excited to bring back Emerson on a permanent deal,” said Atlanta vice president and technical director Carlos Bocanegra.

“He played an important role in our midfield after joining the team mid-season and will add competition and depth to our group as we prepare to play in various competitions in 2020.”

Dallas-born Hyndman made eight first-team appearances for Eddie Howe's men.
