DAN Pidgley missed a first-half penalty to complete an unwanted hat-trick as depleted New Milton Town had to settle for a 0-0 draw at local rivals Lymington Town.
Trevor Parker felt Linnets had the "lion's share" of the derby but Pidgley's spot-kick failure - New Milton's third penalty miss of the season - proved costly.
"We were quite depleted without both Chengadus, Dave Ewen and Dan Neville, so in lots of respects it was a pleasing result," said Parker.
"We seem to have steadied the ship now after three draws on the trot - with Wimborne thrown in - so it's onwards and upwards."
With a number of players missing for Saturday's match, Parker called on veteran striker Mark Barrett - who he managed during his time at Bashley - to come off the bench in the final 15 minutes.
New Milton Town: Jones, Hall, Grace, Holt, Pidgley, Booker, Smith, Borthwick, Long (Sampays 65), Malloy (Kabir 75), Marks (Barrett 75).
