PHILIP Billing believes he has formed a “good partnership” with both Lewis Cook and Jefferson Lerma in the heart of Cherries’ midfield.

The 23-year-old, a £15million summer signing from Huddersfield Town, has started all 12 of the Dorset club’s top-flight fixtures this season.

Colombian Lerma has partnered him nine times in Eddie Howe’s starting XI.

England international Cook has been selected on three occasions, including the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United last time out - in place of the suspended Lerma.

Asked about playing alongside both Lerma and Cook, Billing told the Daily Echo: “They are very different players. I enjoy playing with both, as long as I play.

“They are two great players and I feel I have a good partnership with both of them.

“I can’t say I enjoy playing with one more. Me and Lewis did well against Newcastle.

“I don’t think we did too bad but we didn’t get the win, so we were kicking ourselves a bit.”

Billing is expected to keep his spot when Cherries host Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday (3pm).
