DORSET'S Joe Trent and Dylan Ross represented England under-16 handball team in the Generation Cup in Viborg, Denmark.

Trent, from Corfe Mullen, and Ross, from Wool, joined 14 other athletes selected from all over England to compete against 25 teams from across Europe.

They both play for their local club Poole Phoenix.

They made county selection followed by South West Regional Academy which led to the opportunity to compete in Denmark.

Trent was originally introduced to the game at Lockyers Middle School and is now heading into sixth form at Corfe Hills.

Ross, who attends the Purbeck School in Wareham, was spotted while taking part in the Dorset School Games.

When the new season starts in September, they will move up to the under-19s, continuing to train and compete in tournaments around the country.
