EDDIE Howe vowed to never stand still with his managerial methods after securing Cherries’ best start to a Premier League campaign.

Victories over Cardiff and West Ham have seen them collect six points from their opening two league games – a tally they took until October 21 to reach last season.

The Cherries boss openly stated he had selected high-calibre opposition during pre-season in a bid to hit the ground running.

He also revealed he made several key alterations on the training ground and had been happy with the way his squad adjusted.

Howe told the Daily Echo: “We changed a whole host of things.

“Our training has been totally different, it never is the same from pre-season to pre-season.

“I’m not one of those managers who churns out the same drills we always do. The players have adapted really well to that.”

Cherries will be looking to make it a hat-trick of league wins to kick off their campaign when they host Everton on Saturday (3pm).
