OLLIE Cherrett admits Christchurch face the trickiest possible opening to their Sydenhams Wessex Premier campaign.
Champions of Wessex One last season, Priory make the trip to Horndean on Saturday, a side who finished fourth in 2017-18.
Boss Cherrett told the Daily Echo: "Quite a few people fancy Horndean to be dark horses outside the likes of Sholing and Alresford.
"I know Michael Birmingham really well and you can guarantee they will be fit, well up for it and will want to get off to a good start.
“We couldn’t have picked a tougher away game.
“Unfortunately, we are going to be missing a couple due to David Legg’s wedding but that’s life.
“We will try to be hard to beat and see if we can nick something.”
Lymington Town begin their league season at Hamble Club tomorrow.
Saturday's other games, Wessex Premier: Bashley v Andover New Street, Brockenhurst v Poppies, Cowes Sports v Hamworthy United.
Wessex One: Ringwood Town v Amesbury Town, Whitchurch United v Verwood Town.
