MATT Ford has urged Kacper Woryna to step up his efforts as Pirates enter a crucial period of the season.
The Polish youngster is set to drop to reserve for tomorrow’s clash with King’s Lynn (7.30pm), where he will partner Frederik Jakobsen.
Woryna, who has struggled to produce his best in the main body of the team recently, enjoyed a fruitful spell at reserve in June.
Chief Ford told the Daily Echo: “It’s a big month for Kacper, who may have slightly gone off the boil.
“There’s nothing untoward and no finger-pointing here, it’s just that he has found the going a bit tougher.
“We have eight matches in August where Kacper is going to be at reserve so I need him to come to the party.”
Ford added: “Frederik’s nine paid 11 score against Leicester on Monday was very encouraging.
“It could be that when he has done eight matches, he may come out of the reserve berths and if that happens, Josh Grajczonek or Nicolai Klindt could be at reserve with Kacper.
“Going into the play-offs, if we are lucky enough to make it that far, that could be a huge bonus for us.”
