WIMBORNE Town have completed the signing of former Cherries defender Jordan Lee ahead of their Southern League Premier Division South campaign.

The 21-year-old has been without a club since his contract at Vitality Stadium was cancelled in January.

Ferndown-raised Lee made his Cherries debut in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Birmingham in January 2016, playing 84 minutes before being replaced by Steve Cook.

He also featured in the 3-0 FA Cup loss at Millwall 12 months later, before spending two spells on loan at then-National League Torquay.

In November last year, Lee cut short his second loan at Plainmoor, which had been due to expire in January.

He had featured in the Gulls' first two games of the season but was ruled out indefinitely after suffering chest pains following a 3-2 defeat at Aldershot.

Lee was treated by Cherries’ medical staff and headed back to Torquay in October after receiving the all-clear to resume playing.

However, he was unable to force his way back into the team under new boss Gary Owers.

Lee was one of eight loan players on the books at Torquay, with only five allowed in any matchday squad.
