NEW Zealand international Corey Anderson is set to line up against Dorset in their showpiece T20 clash with Somerset at North Perrott tomorrow (5.30pm).

The Canterbury-born all-rounder was today filmed smashing a six in training ahead of the encounter, as the Taunton outfit prepare for their upcoming Vitality Blast campaign.

Anderson has played more than 100 domestic T20 games across the globe as well as 29 T20 internationals.

The 27-year-old’s highest T20 score for his country came against Bangladesh, when he fired an unbeaten 94 from just 41 deliveries in January 2017.

He had also held the world record for the fastest one-day international hundred, having blasted a century from 36 balls against the West Indies in 2014.

England spinner Dom Bess is also expected to feature as well as Somerset stars Tom Abell, James Hildreth, Peter Trego, Steven Davies and Craig and Jamie Overton.

Dorset are set to be without limited overs skipper Jigar Naik, meaning Bournemouth batsman Luke Webb will captain the Minor Counties side.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Dorset chairman Sean Walbridge said: “We are delighted that Somerset head coach Jason Kerr has agreed to bring his side to play this prestigious fixture again this season.”

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for OAPs and students. Under 16s gain free entry when accompanied by an adult.
