CHERRIES striker Mikael Ndjoli could be set to join Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock on loan.

The Daily Echo understands talks have been held over a temporary switch for the 19-year-old, who last month signed a new deal at Vitality Stadium.

Frontman Ndjoli played a key role for Carl Fletcher’s under-21s last season, scoring 30 goals to help Cherries finish third in the southern division of the Central League.

His positive form earned him a spot on the bench for the first team during Cherries’ FA Cup defeat at Wigan in January.

Formerly of Millwall, Ndjoli was one of six under-21 players to agree new one-year contracts this summer.

Jordan Holmes, Tyler Cordner, Shaun Hobson, Keelan O'Connell and Mihai Dobre also committed at least until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Three-time Scottish Cup winners Killie finished fifth in their respective top flight last season.

They are managed by former Reading and West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke.
