CHERRIES winger Max Gradel has finalised a permanent move to Toulouse for an undisclosed fee.

The paperwork for the deal was completed today, bringing down the curtain on Gradel's second spell at the Dorset club.

The former Leeds United star spent last season on loan to the French club, helping them narrowly avoid the drop from Ligue 1.

Gradel posted on Twitter: "Big thank you to all the @afcbournemouth fans, the staff and Eddie Howe for my time at the club. Players come and go, that is football. All the best. MAG."

The 30-year-old netted on his Toulouse debut against Paris Saint-Germain in August and increased to 10 goals in 32 appearances his tally by the end of the campaign.

He scored and gained an assist in a two-legged promotion-relegation play-off against Ajaccio.

French newspaper L’Equipe recently reported that Cherries and Toulouse had agreed a fee of around £1.75million.

Speculation in the Turkish media had previously suggested Gradel had been offered to Galatasaray.

The wide man joined Cherries in a £7m move from Saint-Etienne in August 2015 but his season was wrecked by a serious knee injury which kept him out for six months.

The following campaign, Gradel was restricted to 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League, his only starts being in the League Cup.

His most recent competitive appearance for Cherries came in a 2-2 draw at home to Stoke City in May last year.

Gradel spent time on loan at Cherries in the 2007-08 season.
