HAMPSHIRE women completed a superb Royal London One-Day Championship campaign by claiming the Division One title in their first year in the top flight.
After posting 210 for seven at Andover CC, Hampshire never looked in danger of suffering defeat, stopping their opponents on 144.
Captain Charlotte Edwards told the club website: “It’s been a remarkable effort from the squad. It’s hard to believe we were in Division Three in 2015 and are now champions of Division One.
“I’m so proud of what the team and coaching staff have achieved and look forward to building on this over the coming years.”
Hampshire women begin their T20 campaign against Scotland on Sunday.
