WIMBORNE Town's matchday programme has been named by The Catalogue as the 12th best in non-league in the country.

The award capped a memorable season for the Magpies who won the Dorset Senior Cup and finished third in Southern League West.

Their programme was also voted best in the Southern League and won the divisional award.

Wimborne spokesperson Lee Merrifield said: "To be named 12th best in the country is an amazing achievement and just reward for the hard work and attention our programme editor puts in to each programme.

"On behalf of the club, I would like to thank all those who have helped make this season's programme an award-winner."

Programme editor Graham Dunn added: "Producing each programme is a real team effort.

"Throughout the season, more than 40 people have provided input, from club officials, staff, players and volunteers to players in our youth teams.

"Special thanks also go to photographer Steve Harris and our printers LA Digital."
