SKIPPER Simon Francis praised Cherries' mentality in keeping a "massive" clean sheet against Swansea.
The Dorset club secured survival thanks to Ryan Fraser's first-half strike, which earned them a 1-0 win.
Cherries keeper Asmir Begovic was called on to make excellent saves from Mike van der Hoorn, Nathan Dyer and Jordan Ayew.
Reflecting on Cherries' first shutout since January, Francis told the Daily Echo: "The clean sheet was massive for us. It has been a long time coming.
"We haven't kept enough clean sheets and that is probably the reason why we haven't picked up enough points.
"The motivation was there for us. It was a must-win game. If we go in with that mindset, I think we will win more than we lose.
"Over the past few weeks, we might have thought we were safe, subconsciously.
"That kind of mindset can dip into your brain and you think it is going to be okay. We showed the right mentality to win the game."
