HARRY McGrath's second-half hat-trick earned Bashley a 6-5 win over Sydenhams Wessex Premier rivals Amesbury Town in a thriller at Bashley Road on Saturday.

Conor Whiteley's quickfire double saw Bash race into a 2-0 lead before Cameron Roach, son of Cherries' head of academy Joe Roach, halved the deficit on the stroke of half-time.

McGrath struck to restore the hosts' two-goal advantage early in the second half, only for Connor Millar to pull one back for the Blues.

It remained 3-2 until an eventful final 10 minutes which yielded a further six goals.

Amesbury goalkeeper Paddy Crease mishandled a corner into his own net to make it 4-2 before McGrath added his second and Bash's fifth.

The visitors hit back through ex-Bash man Kieran Stephens's penalty and a second from Roach before McGrath settled the hosts' nerves by completing his hat-trick with a rasping effort from an acute angle.

Kieran Edwards set up a grandstand finish when he scored in the third minute of injury-time with Bash holding on to claim the points.

Manny Soetan's six-minute hat-trick ruined Hamworthy United's chances of registering a memorable double over Sydenhams Wessex Premier leaders Andover Town.

Soetan came off the bench at the County Ground to settle the issue in favour of the visitors, his goals coming in the 74th, 78th and 80th minutes.

Dan Cann cancelled out Jay Silver's opener for Andover before Soetan entered the fray to earn them a 4-1 win which avenged their 2-1 defeat by the Hammers in December.

Leon Carbayo-Borges's first-half opener for Brockenhurst was cancelled out by Harry Jackson's late leveller as the Badgers drew 1-1 at Horndean.

Sam House bagged a late consolation in Lymington Town's 3-1 defeat by Sholing at the Sports Ground.

Steve Flynn returned from suspension to score New Milton's goal in their 1-1 draw with Whitchurch United at Fawcett's Field.

James Tennant and Brett Denham both notched hat-tricks as Tadley Calleva condemned Ringwood Town to a 7-0 defeat at Barlows Park.

Ringwood will be hoping to bounce back tomorrow when they travel to Totton & Eling (7.45pm).

And in Wessex Premier, Poppies host Andover Town, Hamworthy United welcome Horndean and Lymington entertain Fareham, while Bashley travel to Bemerton (all 7.45pm).
