BOSS Eddie Howe is convinced Adam Smith will be a key player for Cherries during the Premier League run-in.
Smith has turned in a series of impressive displays since returning from a thigh injury which forced him to miss Cherries’ wins over Chelsea and Stoke.
The 26-year-old, who had also been in inspired form before he sustained the injury, came on as a half-time substitute and sparked Cherries’ comeback in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle.
Smith netted his first goal of the season against the Toon and performed admirably in the 1-1 draw at Leicester and in Sunday's 4-1 defeat by his former club Tottenham.
Howe told the Daily Echo: "I thought Adam's attitude to the game was absolutely brilliant.
"He played in a couple of positions for us again and his versatility is key for the team.
"The energy and endeavour he put in were first class.
"I was disappointed for him and a number of other players that we were on the end of a heavy scoreline when they performed so well individually."
