JORDON Ibe could feature when Cherries’ Premier League Cup destiny is tonight decided.

Ibe sat out Cherries’ 2-2 draw with Newcastle on Saturday having not trained since the 4-1 defeat at Huddersfield.

The winger is one of a number of first-team players boss Eddie Howe is considering giving a run-out against Group C leaders Wolves at Vitality Stadium (7pm).

Earlier today, Cherries slipped to third place following Norwich's 1-0 win over Bury.

And with the top two progressing to the knockout stages, Cherries must now beat Wolves to regain second spot.

Wolves have already qualified as group winners.

Asked by the Daily Echo whether any first-team squad members would be involved, boss Eddie Howe said: “We have a small squad and I need to make sure I don’t put it at risk.

“We don’t want to maybe risk losing numbers but we also need players to be match fit so we will wait and see.”

Howe added: “It is a game we want to win. I would love the boys to progress and have more games so we are keen to put on a good performance. It will be a good experience for the young players to sample a game under lights here.”

Defender Brad Smith is also in contention to start for Carl Fletcher’s team which has beaten Norwich and Bury in the competition and also drawn with the Shakers.
