CHERRIES ace Lewis Cook expressed delight at his flourishing midfield partnership with Dan Gosling.

The duo have started six of Cherries' past seven league fixtures, during which Eddie Howe’s men have set a club-record unbeaten run in the top flight.

They replaced the likes of Andrew Surman and Harry Arter, who have both been handed bench roles in recent weeks.

Cook told the Daily Echo: “Goso is great – you know what you get from him.

“We know each other’s strengths and how to bounce off each other. He is a really good guy to play with.

“He is a really hard worker and will put everything on the line for the team. I think we are playing well together.”

England under-21 international Cook has made 18 top-flight appearances this season, featuring in six of Cherries’ eight league victories.

Gosling has appeared 16 times in the league and scored during the 3-3 draw against West Ham at Vitality Stadium on Boxing Day.
