DUMPTON School were crowned champions after winning the IAPS Under-12 National finals.
The Wimborne-based school's Year 7 girls saw off competition from 29 other teams in Ipswich.
They faced some well-known sporting schools such as Millfield, St Olave’s, Danes Hill and Westbourne House.
Dumpton topped their group after coming through six competitive matches before setting up a meeting with Holme Grange in the final.
There was nothing to separate the teams as the final finished 0-0 after extra-time – with Dumpton winning on penalty shuffles.
Director of sport Aissa Randle said: “Sport is an integral part of life here at Dumpton School – every child is encouraged to take part and learn the valuable lessons that come from being part of a team.
"Our sporting philosophy also reflects that of the school – participation, respect, enjoyment and performance.
"We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our pupils whether on or off the sports field, but special congratulations go to our Under-12 girls' hockey team.”
